Creating this home for a successful Cardiff businessman and his family involved the total refurbishment of a dull and stuffy Victorian house, which had been poorly converted into soulless apartments. The space was brought back to life by introducing modern design elements, such as oversized pendant light fixtures, and reworking many of the period features. The more formal front rooms lead into a free-flowing family area at the back of the house, which they wanted to be functional and hardwearing yet still luxurious. This was achieved through the use of natural wood floors and white marble, with plenty of natural light to illuminate the delicately patterned fabrics. Even though they are longstanding clients and used to our meticulous standards, the revitalised result exceeded their expectations.
