These international clients who travel extensively had commissioned Chameleon previously so Yvonne understood their needs when they requested a total reconstruction and refurbishment of this newly purchased house, which was in very poor condition. It spans three floors and to make the most of the coastal view the central floor has been remodelled to house the formal sitting room, study, dining room and open plan kitchen / family breakfast area.
The top floors houses the master bedroom suite and on the ground floor are the guest bedrooms and TV Room.
The large formal sitting room oozes understated sophistication. Its neutral colour scheme is filled with pattern and texture, mixing embroidered curtains with geometric patterned silk rugs, velvet covered coffee tables and silk slub wallcoverings.
The entertaining dining room links into a large open plan kitchen/family room/breakfast area where unusual, custom-made furniture and lighting create interest.
The bedrooms are neutral, but have luxurious touches, whilst the red TV Room is a strong contrast. However, it has the same international styling concept as the rest of the house.
The property has a large hall and stairway where the imposing, original, black cast iron balustrades have been retained; they add character and a decorative feature to the central core of this house where we have added a few antique pieces of furniture.
